Do you want to jailbreak your iPhone 4 running on iOS 4.3.3 (with 4G iPhone3_1_4.3.3_8J2_Restore.ipsw) then you are at the correct place. In this post I will provide step by step guide on how you can jailbreak iPhone 4 using redsn0w_win_0.9.6rc17.

To prepare this tutorial I myself has jailbreak one iPhone 4 yesterday (having firmware iPhone3_1_4.3.3_8J2_Restore.ipsw) only, so I can say that after reading this article carefully you can 100% be able to jailbreak your iPhone 4. (Note here that this tutorial is only for iPhone jailbreak, it won’t unlock your iPhone 4). So let’s move ahead and dive into the world of iPhone jailbreaking.

Note: I have unlocked iPhone 4 with firmware as “iPhone3_1_4.3.3_8J2_Restore.ipsw”, you must check firmware of your iPhone device (Settings >> Gengeral >> About). Also this article is for Windows operating system users only, because of redsn0w compatibility.

Steps to Jailbreak iPhone 4 on iOS 4.3.3(8J2) using redsn0w_win_0.9.6rc17

1. Download original iOS firmware for iPhone 4 (GSM): iPhone3_1_4.3.3_8J2_Restore.ipsw of size 666 MB.
2. Now Download latest redsn0w_win_0.9.6rc17 for Windows (size 13.3 MB)
3. Open redsn0w.exe and click on Browse button and select the file (iPhone3_1_4.3.3_8J2_Restore.ipsw) downloaded in step 1, then it will show you IPSW successfully identified.
4. Click Next button and tick Install Cydia check box and again click Next button.
5. Have some tea till the time your iPhone jailbreak completes.
