Copy ipa from iphone to pc without itunes using Installous. Installous is an app that allows you to install any cracked Apple store app (ipa files) on your jailbroken iPhone or iPod Touch for free. A Week ago i have decided to upgrade my iOS from 4.1 to 4.2.1 and at that time in my Installous i have already downloaded about 2GB Apps in my iPhone 3G, which i don’t want to download again because of just iOS Upgrade.

So i have started taking backup of my Contacts, SMS, Notes and Calendar and etc. To copy and save ipa apps from installous is a little bit tricky one, but i have found the solution for that also and here it is.

Before going ahead you have to download and install http://code.google.com/p/iphonebrowser/downloads/list Or Direct Download from here – Setup iPhone Browser.1.93.zip.

After Setup, Open iPhone explorer from the shortcut available on the Desktop and navigate to

[root] >> User >> Documents >> Installous >> Downloads

- First select all the .ipa files which you want to save in your local PC (by pressing Ctrl or Shift key) and then Right click and choose Backup file OR Save As… Option.

Where does installous save ipa files?

- If you have selected the Save As… Option you can save your ipa files anywhere in you PC and if you have chose Backup File then all your app files will be saved by default under the location something like this in windows XP:

C:› Documents and Settings › USERNAME › Local Settings › Application Data › Cranium › iPhoneBrowser

- So that’s how you can copy your installed ipa files from your iphone to your pc and use it for future use. This trick will work for iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS also.
