Different SIM Detected Please Connect to iTunes Error Resolved. My iPhone 3G is now fully loaded with iPhone applications, games and lot more multimedia stuff like movies, music and pictures etc. But in this post i particularly try to resolve the error which i had came across while adding/removing stuff from the Cydia application and eventually ended with a message like Different SIM Detected Please Connect to iTunes.

There are two prominent solutions for this problem, one is using Wi-Fi and another is using internet (We will use your PC Internet connectivity, so you can called it an offline solution, which will work without Wi-Fi). Actually as the time you will encounter the error message “different SIM detected please connect to iTunes“, you actually won’t be able to use you sim anymore in your iPhone. So either you have to find some Wi-Fi spot near by you or you can Attach your iPhone 3G or 3Gs with your PC and Resolve the error. So lets see both solutions and you can prefer the one which suits you best.

Note: I was using iPhone configurations like, Version: 4.0.1(8A306) and Modem Firmware : 05.13.04 and at the time of resolving this error.
- Make sure that your iPhone Must be Jailbroken before moving ahead.

Solution 1: Resolve Using Wi-Fi

Step 1) First Remove your SIM card from the iPhone.
Step 2) Open Settings >> Wi-Fi in iPhone and Switch it On and find the nearby Wi-Fi Network.

Step 3) Open Cydia and tap Manage, then tap Sources and add the following source:http://cydia.pushfix.info.

Step 4) In the PushFix repo, look for Hacktivation Patch and install it.

Step 5) Rebootyour iPhone.

Solution 2: Offline Solution Using PC Internet

Step 1) First you need to Download iPhone PC Suite and setup it. The Download Size is 43.87 MB (For Windows Users Only).

Step 2) After Successfully installed, Open iPhone PC Suite and Complete Entry Level steps (Like Downloading one file in your iPhone and Restart – One time only), if you done this successfully you will be able to connect your iPhone with PC now.

Step 3) Navigate to Start >> Apps.

Step 4) Open Install >> Cydia Sources (Click on update icon if your list is old or outdated), and find for Hacktivation Patch in Search box given at the top right position.

Step 5) Now Just click on Install button given at the bottom and wait for the system to completed setup 100%. Once it is done just restart your phone and you will have no more messages like “Different SIM Detected Please Connect to iTunes?. You can apply same trick on iPhone 3Gs also.
